//JORINE and buroJET will be presented at the NYIGF (international gift fair) in New York by Wabnitz editions. Our porcelain products will be showed during the fair, next to the products of Royal VKB, Gaia and Gino (with Jaime Hayon), le Mouton Rouge, etc
Tea Time also will be presented at the Future Perfect, NewYork.
The New York fair is from 13th of August till 18th of August.

//'Wild Stoken" is an exhibition about raku firing initiated by Sander Luske. For this exhibition several (ceramic) designers and artist where asked to create a product or artwork. these pieces were fired during the exhibition. JORINE designed several necklesses, one with big beads, two with beads and a bunny bead. Two of these necklesses were auctioned the 19th of June at K13 Velp.

//New tableware. We designed a new tableware set 'white rabbits'. A breakfast set containing several bowls and plates. The title refers to a common british superstition 'white rabbits'. For pictures go to 'work' and click the button 'white rabbits'.

//New products for Puhlmann the Zoo. We keep on expanding the Puhlmann line. We designed new doorknobs (a frog, lizard, turtle and snail). Available in several colors. We also designed a tissuedispenser the Sneezy.

JORINE was founded in 2005 in Arnhem, The Netherlands by Jorine Oosterhoff.
We are specialized in porcelain objects especially tableware. But we also work in other materials.
JORINE works on self initiated projects as well as on projects for clients.

JORINE’s work tells stories. Her products become little characters, each with their own identity. As every product is taken separately, giving it its own unique characteristics, a collection become a family.
Together they provide surreal atmospheres, making you smile or give you good memories of childhood.

In bigger productions JORINE often works together with buroJET / Egbert-jan Lam. The engineer besides the storyteller. Together they did projects for clients such as de Ster (big in inflight tableware), GEPA, UMBRA Canada and also do exhibition designs for festivals.

Jorine Oosterhoff was born in The Hague, The Netherlands, in 1981 and grew up in the east of Holland.
From childhood on she had a special fascination for surrealistic and fantastic stories. Also she was addicted in creating things and drawing

In 2005 she graduated from ArtEZ Arnhem, art and design academy Arnhem, the Netherlands, with a fascinating porcelain high tea set build up as little characters on the table.
The reason to become a product designer was her fascination to create something you could really use.
During the academy years, she found out that ceramics was a perfect material to translate her ideas in.
Ideas come from a big box of inspiring sources, but her fascination for nature, especially evoluation,  societies, how animals live together hyarchi etc., and her or other fantasy world(s) led to most of her works.

Jorine does most of her modeling herself. With her good eye for details, she makes the mothermoulds for her own projects as well as mothermoulds for mass production, as the moneybanks, coathooks and doorstopper for Puhlmann.

Next to products JORINE designed and realized several interior designs for exhibitions together with (business) partner Egbert-Jan Lam buroJET.

We are a small autonomous company, with a lot of self initiated projects as well as projects for large international contractors.
We offer design/product development internships for undergraduate and postgraduate students in full time education.

You will assist us with a variety of tasks across product design, ceramic projects, etc.
Some of these tasks include the development of concepts, model making, research into materials and manufacturing techniques and other daily activities.
You will also have the opportunity to participate in meetings and work on special projects.

If you are a hands-on open minded designer who is self-motivated, passionate about design and with a flexible attitude we would love to hear from you.
We require that you have at least 2 years of study and that you have technical skills that can include some of the following; Apple Mac, Word, Cinema4D, Photoshop, Illustrator, presentation and model making.

Our internships are unpaid and last at least three months with extensions and freelance work subject to individual performance.
